Key Menus - Features
Filters
Filters provide you with the capability to focus your analysis or minimize noise in alerts, ensuring that you focus on the information that truly matters to you.
You can filter countries, interests, keywords, event categories, data providers, timeframes and shapes.
Open the filter bar, allowing you to set filters on your data. You can view, create, and save customized views and alerts based on your filter settings.
For more information on Filters, please refer to the article titled "SEE - Filters."
Layers
The Layers feature in the SEE module provides a comprehensive set of option allowing users to enhance situational awareness through visual overlays (Context layers) on the map, changing map styles or how data is displayed. Many more context layers coming soon.
Key layers include the Airport Layer (context layer displaying airports worldwide, convertible to interest), Severity Layer and the Threat Ratings Layer, which displays analyst threat scores by country and category, along with analyst notes (an executive summary of our country assessments in UNDERSTAND).
Users can choose different Display Modes for Events, Interests and Context Layers, and customize the visualization of events from “Grouped” (reducing redundant display of same events reported by different providers) and “Single” (precise display of all events reported).
For visualizing event density, the Heat Map offers a color-coded view, indicating varying levels of activity.
“Layers” also provides essential Map Tools like Route, Pan, and Distance to facilitate navigation and measurement. Users can switch between different Map Types, including the Default Google view, Clean mode for better contrast, Satellite imagery, and Terrain mode to visualize physical landscapes.
